Potter's Bay
A downloadable adventure
You came in on a ship named the Anne-Marie, carrying this season’s shipment of staples. Mostly beans. Captain Sternwell let you aboard down the southern coast for reasons wholly his own. Maybe he’s the type to do a good turn for his fellow citizens from time to time. Maybe he’s up to some inscrutable mischief. He shakes your hand as you disembark. “Be back around in six months' time. Ride’ll cost ya if yer tryin’ to leave.”
Potter's Bay
is a simple fishing village on the northern coast, completely cut off from the outside world—excepting the occasional ship, of course. It could serve as a starting location for a new party of adventurers just beginning their campaign (this is how I'm using it), or as a somewhat goofy place an established party might stop off on their way into the northern wilderness. Drop a megadungeon in the nearby mountains and you've got plenty of material for a medium-to-long campaign.
Stats are OSR-broad. "HD 2, AC as leather," and such. You know the drill.
Featuring:
- A fully-described village, including an inn in the hull of a crashed ship, a creepy old house full of lovable weirdos, a cozy lighthouse, and a church with a secret.
- A dangerous local industry, hunting man-sized lobsters in ungainly diving suits.
- More than 20 colorful and memorable NPCs.
- An honest-to-god dungeon.
- Powdered wigs and stuff!
- Sentences and paragraphs!
Tugh Manor
is a special addition to Potter's Bay (think of it as a supplementary adventure, I suppose). It's a (mostly) straightforward haunted house adventure, written for the floor plan of a real manor in England or something probably. I've included the introductory material as well as the key for the ground floor as a separate document here, included with purchase. Eventually, it'll be complete!
It even includes a small essay I wrote about haunted houses as adventure locations!
This Is Was In Early Access
The document is basically done! There's a chance I'll add some more art, but probably not. Thanks to everyone who got in early!

Instantly slotting this into my next campaign. Gives me a vibe like The Sims 1 neighborhood and the presentation is lovely.
it's just a town and a dungeon, but good. that "Sentences and paragraphs!" line is not a joke. it's written like a book, and that makes it easier to read—it makes me want to read the words on the page
